Deciding on an idea

After a night of deliberation and discussing potential gameplay loops that focus on. We have recently been playing alot of Helldivers 2 and we was having quite fun with the extraction gameplay, mainly because of the high stakes risk and reward it entails and the rush you high intensity fights. We quite liked the idea of having a survival-based action game with a sci-fi realism theme. We were inspired by the work of Simon Stålenhag. His work is an amazing blend of post apocalypse and high tech, giving a good contrast.

Moving forward

To get started working on the project we created an unreal project and hosted it using PlasticSCM Version Control to help us collabortate between us and to allow for rapid testing,

We then created a basic To-Do List in excell to keep track of what needs to be working on next in prioty order.

Thank you for reading!

If you like the sound of the game please leave a comment on the blog and return later to keep upto date for the updates!
